- Learn: November’s mini-lesson covers the Care and Feeding of Sources.
- Challenges: freewrite for five minutes each workday or every other workday. This trains your brain to drop into an expressive flow state, so you’ll have some mental muscle memory when a big idea strikes! (This also helps perfectionists separate the acts of writing, rewriting and self-editing, which can help with writer’s block.)
- Practice adaptability, an essential skill for thriving as a freelancer. Change one thing or habit that’s not working for you — whether that’s trying morning yoga, the flavor of your mouthwash or pitching like a dandelion (simultaneous submissions). Note how it feels — both the resistance to change and the experience of switching things up.
